SQL injection UNION ALL SELECT NOT WORKING

I would like to test my website if it is vulnerable or not and it seems like the website is vulnerable. However when I try to test out SQL injection with UNION ALL SELECT it gives me a syntax error. I do not know why. The error says "You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'union all select 1,2,3,4,' at line 1" I have a column total of 10.
