Is it "cross-platform attack" if first OS is not attacked at all?

I am analyzing an application for an OS, which has embedded files(Worms) to attack another OS. But this application does not do any harm to the first OS. First OS is just a medium to deliver malware to the other OS.

Can it be considered a cross-platform attack, even when first OS is unharmed?
