SQLMap strange encoding

I retrieved this data back from sqlmap

O\\?90\x1c$\\?a7\\?fa\x13\\?a0u\\?a8\\?c1\\?af_\\?de\r\\?41

I have changed the values obviously. But not the format.

Unfortunately I am not sure what type of encoding this is. It is on a VARCHAR(128) field. I assume it is unicode because of the "\?a0u" value.

The database management system is MySQL >= 5.0.0

My question: is there a way to transform / detect the encoding and put it in human readable format?
