Google Apps accounts - lost access and can't get back in

Several years ago I bought a bunch of domains using the then free Google Apps portal. I figured if I used any of them they'd be preconfigured for Gmail, etc..

Google farmed out the actual purchases (or registrations, I'm not tech enough to know the difference) to Enom and Godaddy. If I whois the domains those two are the registrars. However, all my account admin has been through Google Apps, including billing. Middle of last year the domains came up for renewal and auto renewed, as I wanted them to.

My credit card expired this month so I go into the Google Apps panel for each domain to update it. However, there are 4 domains for which Google Apps says it has no record. They happily took my $10 for each less than a year ago but now I can't log in ("account doesn't exist"). Whois says they're still registered, due to expire in 2015.

Despite a lot of searching, I can't seem to find a way to regain access to these accounts. I cannot use my recovery email address because the accounts 'don't exist'.

I could just wait until the day they expire then try to buy then through a different registrar, but I'd prefer not to take the risk of losing them.

These are the free version of Google Apps, so I don't seem have any avenue into a human at Google.

Can anyone point me to someplace I can get these back?

Thanks, Toby.
