Hopefully this is the correct forum for this type of question.
I work in a small not-for-profit in the UK. We wish to have a userform on our website that will allow customers to send information to us. Our website has SSL.
Some of the information will be sensitive (personal info, National Insurance number, etc.) and, because of this, we require a solution that is secure - SSL EV and 256-bit encryption.
The challenge is that the third party currently hosting our website want to extort over £500 for building a single form, so they are not an option - especially as we will wish to add additional forms in in Q3/4 this year. In addition, our budget and capability is so extremely small that costs associated with having our own server and doing it in-house are not viable at this stage.
So I have been looking at organisations that offer secure forms and data processing. There are providers out there that offer encrypted inbound transmission (i.e. from customers) and then end-users (i.e. me!) would be able to access and retrieve the data stored on these third-party servers.
Has anyone had any experience with such providers? (Adobe FormCentral, Formstack, LuxSci, SecureForm, etc.)
Does this sound like a sensible solution to overcome my issue, or can someone else recommend another way that customers can securely return data to us that would be cheap and easy to manage?
Can anybody recommend a good provider that would offer UK or EU based storage of data? This is essential as we are required to have all our data stored in the EU.
Thanks Ali
