I am seeking help in determining NON-authorship (or at least assigning probabilities) of a false claim to authorship of a rather well known poem called Slow Dance. I know that the attributed, self-proclaimed author, David L. Weatherford isn't the author. Not only because the styles don't match, but also because I know the actual author.
(It's possible to study the author writing style and verify, with a certain level of confidence, that the writing style of one author is the same that is found in some published article... – woliveirajr Aug 26 '13 at 13:29)
Or, that dissimilarities in style can prove that someone didn't write something.
The actual author can't prove authorship, as she lost it such a long time ago. I am hoping to find experts who can compare styles & so put her name at the top of the list of probable authors, and put David's at the very bottom. I seek justice for my friend. I have culled most of his work and put them in a blog in plain text to make reading them, and thus comparing them with the problematic text, easier than it is on his website. (Apologies for my atrocious html. I really only care that it is readable.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I e-mailed a publishing house in Australia but was told to try my luck elsewhere. It's because of your answer above that I am writing to you.
Thanks, Anthony ****
